PULSE POLIO IMMUNIZATION PROGRAMME
The Pulse Polio Immunization Programme was conducted from 3rd to 5th March 2024 by the Government of India to provide polio vaccine to children of ages below 5 years all over India. Pushpagiri College Of Nursing, Thiruvalla conducted the Pulse Polio Vaccination Programme on 3rd March 2024 at Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital, Thiruvalla at 7:30am. The programme was organized by the Department of Community Health Nursing, 5th Sem Students. The programme was coordinated fully by Prof. Vineetha Jacob, Principal Pushpagiri College Of Nursing. The members participated are Sr. Mayukha SIC and 5th Semester B.Sc.Nursing students. The students were assigned to give polio vaccine to the children as per the schedule given and under the supervision of Sr. Mayukha and Mrs. Annamma, our staff nurse.We not only provided vaccine but also gave awareness about the polio vaccine and its uses to the parents and the students . A total of 100 students were vaccinated on that day and the programme ended at 4pm.
