Education and libraries are the twin sisters and one cannot be separated from the other and libraries are the main base of academic system and today they are treated as the heart of educational organization. Library acts as centre for the collection of literature and audio-visual materials specific to the need of users. The library has a well network system with web opac and library software for the efficient and effective service of users. The primary objective of the library is to cater to the needs of the faculty and students.
The library is housed on the 4 th floor with facilities like reading area, reference area, Stack area, news paper reading area, and separate stack area for books, journals, periodicals, Bound volumes of journals, also have good collection of general books which has a provision for searching, lending, reserving etc.
A good collection of student’s thesis is one of the attraction of PCON Library
The library is functioning between 8am-10.30 pm.
The user community of the centre includes faculty, students of PG and UG. The membership restricted only for faculty and student of both college of nursing and school of nursing and also reference service avail for all staffs of Pushpagiri Medical College and research centre.
The library is having a collection of 4000 subject books, E-Journal Database(Ebscohost), 26- journals, 254 -bound volume of journals, 400-CD ROMS.
The documents are arranged in shelves using Dewey decimal classification (19 th Edition).
