    TRIBAL COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES @ MOOZHIYAAR

    Pushpagiri college of nursing, thiruvalla conducted monthly tribal healthcare activities associated with PMC Seethathode on 01/03/2024. A medical camp was conducted for the tribal community of Moozhiyar with the help of Dr.Vincent Xavier, Seethathode PMC Medical officer. The camp was organised by departments of Community health and Mental health nursing. The programme was supported by IQAC cell of Pushpagiri College of Nursing. The programme was fully coordinated fully by Professor  Vineetha Jacob(Principal, Pushpagiri College of Nursing). The members participated are Sr.Mayukha SIC, Mr.Renji George Jhon, sisters of St.Ann’s Girls High School, Chenganoor and 5th semester B.SC(N) students. The camp provided health checkup and medication of 45 members. It also provided food materials like rice,pulses,cereals and other kitchen utilities for almost 10 families. Vitamin supplements and food were supplied for children and new mothers. Sisters of St.Ann’s Girls High School contributed food and clothes for the tribals. The sessions included distribution of supplies and providing medical care such as monitoring blood pressure, blood sugar and weight.
