    MONTHLY TRIBAL WELFARE ACTIVITES – AUGUST 2023

    As a part of Tribal Welfare activities health camp has been organised in Gavi and Moozhiyar on 11/8/2023 in association with Seethathodu PHC  and Pushpagiri College of Nursing, and MCYM Tiruvalla region. In the programme, 2 students from 4th year Bsc Nursing who were in community health nursing posting, Fr. Aby Vadakkumthala, Director Pushpagiri College of Nursing , Prof. Vineetha Jacob, Principal, Pushpagiri College of nursing, Sr. Mayukha SIC, Associate professor, Community health nursing, Mr. Renji George John, Associate professor, Mental health nursing has participated.

    In this programme, health care services to tribal people at Moozhiyar and Gavi given under the guidance of Dr.VincentXavier popularly known as Makka doctor. As a part of camp, they were provided services like BP monitoring, blood sugar testing and body temperature monitoring. Consulting patients medicine distribution,Moreover food kit for each family has distributed along with clothes according to specific age group.They also got an opportunity to gave special care to an elderly man aged 108 years by trimmed his hair, changed his clothes, cleaned his shed where he lives.

    All total this camp was a blessing to the natives in Moozhiyar and Gavi. Almost 150 people has got the oppurtunity for medical tests and 20 families get benefitted from food kit and clothes distribution. The camp was very successful . Makka doctor and the natives appreciated these efforts. It was a very meaningful and purposeful camp.
