READING WEEK CELEBRATION
Reading observation day was conducted by college library in collaboration with NSS Unit on 23/06/2023 at College Auditorium from 2pm-3pm. Prof. A.T.Francis, HOD , Rajagiri College of Social Sciences , Kochi was the guest lecture. Speaker gave the valuable speech about the necessity of reading and also the physical, mental and emotional outcome of reading.The session started at 2.10 pm with prayer song by the college choir followed by welcome speech of Mrs. Renjini Devi S. Vice principal, Academics. She welcomed all charmingly followed by the speech by the resource person. All students and teachers enthusiastically participated in the event. Students were very much responsive during the session. They were also awarded a gift for their response during the session which included as books and writing materials donated by the resource person. Mr. Chandy Abraham, Chief Librarian Pushpagiri medical College also participated in the session. Then a gift was awarded to the user to the user who issued the library books in large number during the year 2022-23. The awarded was given to Daana Nawas, 2021 batch. A token of gratitude was handed over to the resource person by Prof. Mrs. Vineetha Madam, Principal Pushpagiri College of Nursing. The session ended with vote of thanks of Mrs. Jeena N Nair, Librarian Pushpagiri College of Nursing followed by the national Anthem at 3.10 pm.
