LET’S TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH-A FORUM OF EXPERTISE
The Department of MentalHealth Nursing , Pushpagiri College of Nursing, Thiruvalla in association with District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), Pathanamthita organized a program named LET’S TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH-A FORUM OF EXPERTISE on 26-11-2022at 2pm. The main objectives of the program was to give a brief overview on mental illness and its management, personality development and stress managment .The members from District Mental Health Programme (DMHP)included two members Dr. Nandagopal M. and Mr. Tissmon Joseph. The programme started with a prayer leaded by IIIrd year B.Sc. Nursing students. The guests and participants were welcomed by Jewel Sarah John, IIIrd year B.Sc.Nursing students. It was followed by inauguration ceremony headed by Mrs. Vineetha Jacob, Principal, Pushpagiri Cillege of Nursing. Dr. Nandagopal M. , Medical officer, DMHP, started the forum discussing the topic an overview of psychiatric illness and its management. The second part of the forum was conducted by Mr. Tissmon Joseph, Project Officer, DMHP, discussing about personality development and stress management. The forum continued with a interactive session for queries of the participants that was made clear by the members of DMHP . The members of DMHP who conducted the forum was facilitated by the Principal. At the end, Mrs. Vinu,1st year M.Sc Nursing student, Dept of MentalHealth Nursing, proposed the vote of thanks and the entire session was compered by Ms. Abhiya and Ms. Bistha IIIrd year B.Sc. Nursing student. The program was coordinated byMr. Renji George John, Ms. Honey ,IIIrd year B.Sc and Ms. Rinu Ist year M.Sc. An overall 80 participants was present for the event The meet was appreciated by all and concluded by 4pm
