TEACHER’S DAY 2022
Teacher’s day was observed in a wide variety of ways on 5th of September 2022 at Pushpagiri College of Nursing,Tiruvalla. Students of each batch drew appreciation cards and wished all teachers with sweets in their classrooms and otherwise. They also prepared a pookalam of wishes and prepared short videos of appreciation. In the evening, Mrs. Vineetha Jacob, Principal and 4th year students jointly organized a meeting for all teachers along with the director, Rev. Fr. Aby Vadakumthala. In the meeting, the Director, Principal and Vice Principal appreciated all teachers for their committed services rendered to the college and to the students. Mementos of appreciation were distributed to all. In addition, the results of peer evaluation of all faculty was also announced appreciating the faculty. The teachers were divided into 5 teams for peer evaluation and the top scorers in each team are as follows-
Team I: admin team – Prof. Sariga J. Theresa
Team II: 4th year – Alphonsa Lizzy Mathew
Team III: MSc – Sr. Terese SIC
Team IV: 3rd year – Mrs. Riti Annie Thomas
Team V: 2nd year – Mrs. Subi Iype
Team VI: 1st year – Mrs. Shibi Mariam Thomas
Teachers also participated in the online Nursing Teachers Talent contest organized on the occasion of Teachers day by Arogyam Nursing College in association with Nursing Scholar Society. They were asked to upload short videos displaying their talents by 3rd September and the results were declared on 5th of September 2022. Saniya Mathew won the spotted talent award 2022 for her, on the spot script writing and acting. Mrs. Aradhana Maniappan won the Creative firefly award 2022. She had uploaded seven videos displaying English and hindi poetry, dance, painting, photography and gardening.
