    NSS REPORT OF FEET OF FLAMES – FREEDOM RUN

    The National Service Scheme unit (NSS/FU/PNT/KUHS/2) of Pushpagiri College of Nursing observed FEET OF FLAMES as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav- India @ 75 based on Independence Day on 16/08/2021 at 3.00pm. The title of the programme is based on FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN. The aim of the proagramme was to encourage and promote fitness culture and spirit of sportsmanship among volunteers and adopt it as a way of lifestyle. The programme also helped to generate enthusiasm A total of 50 volunteers were participated in the Freedom Run strictly followed covid 19 protocol. The chief guests were Rev.Fr. Mary John (Spiritual head of Pushpagiri groups of Institutions), Rev.Fr.Aby Vadakumthala  (Director Groups of Institutions),Sr.Therese SIC(Principal Pushpagiri College of Nursing). Rev.Fr.Aby Vadumthala distributed prizes to winners of world environment day poster competition held in July. Then Ms.Asha Ashok(NSS Programme Officer) handed over the baton for Freedom Run to Sr.Therese SIC, sister in turn handed over the baton to Ms.Jess Mary,who lead the freedom Run. The freedom run started with waving off green flag by Rev.Fr.Mary John. The freedom run started from pushpagiri college of nursing entrance to Pushmarg, the road of pushpagiri medical college hospital and destination is Pushpagiri college of nursing entrance(PCON-PUSHPAMARG-PCON) which was conducted under covid 19 protocol. The freedom run came to end with National Anthem by all volunteers, chief guests, Programme officer, and teachers of the college. The programme generated enthusiasm and infuse patriotism among all the volunteers.
