IGNITE 2k24 Web 02IGNITE 2k24, is an initiative of the Research & Innovation Cell of Pushpagiri College of Nursing under the able leadership of Prof. Mrs. Vineetha Jacob, Principal, Pushpagiri College of Nursing. It is a bi-monthly webinar series organized as a part of the celebrations related to completion of 60 years of training nurses at Pushpagiri, with the aim of igniting/ updating the research & innovation skills of health professionals and is organized by Sr. Mary Jyothi, the Research cell co-ordinator of the college and Mrs. Roshin, Secretary, Research Cell.
The second webinar of the series was scheduled on 20th Apr. 2024 at 8pm on the topic, ‘Evidence Synthesis Methods’ and the resource person was- Dr. Edlin Mathias, Research Fellow, Centre for Evidence-Informed Decision Making, Prasanna School of Public Health, MAHE, Manipal.
The prepared brochure (drafted by Mrs. Roshin Siby, Asst. Professor, PCON & Secretary to Research Cell) was circulated through whatsapp groups and Google meet link was shared with the registered participants. On 20th March 2024, the event began at 8pm with a silent prayer and welcome address by Sr. Mary Jyothi. Dr. Edlin Mathias took a very comprehensive session on the topic, which was
well-appreciated by all. Around 40 faculty, PG & PhD students from different parts of the country joined in the event. The session ended by 8.50pm and was followed by a Q & A session. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Roshin Siby, Secretary, Research & Innovation cell. The webinar came to an end by 9.05pm.
