The Student Nurses’ Association, popularly known as SNA, is a nation-wide organization of nursing students. It was established in 1929 at the time of annual conference of the TNAI in Madras. The main purpose of forming the Association by TNAI was to provide vanities to the nursing students, facilitate their all round development and accredit them to join TNAI as qualified nurses.
Student Nurses Association is one of the best platform for the student nurses to participate actively in curricular and co-curricular activities, community health related activities, communicate issues and concerns relevant to nursing. The SNA unit of Pushpagiri College of Nursing was established in the year 2002. SNA unit aids in the development of the personality of student nurses, his or her professional role and responsibility for health care of people in all walks of their life. SNA works to provide opportunity for personal, intellectual, professional and social growth of its members. SNA unit conducts various educational and cultural programmes on special health days, monthly gathering and various clubs. Students are actively participating in Unit, Zonal and State educational and cultural competitions.
