The unique function of Child Health Nursing department is to assist both post graduate and undergraduate students in developing expertise and in depth understanding in the field of caring children and managing their family . The department trains the students to develop advanced skills for nursing interventions in various pediatric medical and surgical conditions.The department boardens the horizons of nursing research through enabling the students to undertake various research projects in child health areas . It incorporates evidence based practice and identifies the areas of research in the field of pediatric neonatal nursing. Our students understands how to differentiate between normal and deviation from normal.
Department has various community outreach programs like school health programs, health awareness campaigns and soon. The future goal of the department is to undertake ongoing research studies by the members of department in collaboration with experts in the field of pediatrics.
