WEB-TALK ON ANTI-DRUG ADDICTION
In association with the anti-drug addiction month, the department of Mental Health Nursing and Child Health Nursing of Pushpagiri College of Nursing jointly organized a web-talk on ‘Protect yourself from Substance use’ for students and staff of Pushpagiri College of Nursing, through zoom platform on 30th October 2021 at 11am to 12N. The webtalk began with a moment of silent prayer followed by the welcome address by Professor Vineetha Jacob, the HOD of the Dept. of Mental Health Nursing and PG coordinator. The Director Rev. Fr. Aby a meaningful messspeaker was Dr. Maji Jose, Professor and Vice Principal, Yenepoya Dental College who is also the Deputy Director of the Centre for Substance Abuse Prevention, Yenepoya (deemed to be) University, Mangalore. The session was very lively with video clips and practical tips for students to keep away from Substances. She also made the group aware of their social commitment against Substance abuse in the Society. The session was concluded by a vote of thanks by Mr. Jomy Jose, first year BSc(N) student. The comparing was done by Mrs. Ritty Thomas, Faculty, Dept. of Child Health Nursing. The Departments acknowledge gratitude for the cooperation of MACFAST College for the zoom platform and to the Director, Principal, staff and students of Pushpagiri College of Nursing who directly or indirectly supported and became part of the event.
