The Faculty Development Unit and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Pushpagiri College of Nursing jointly organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Student Safety in Nursing Education: Mandatory Compliance Training – Supreme Court Orders, KUHS and UGC” on 31 October 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Conference Hall. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Suby Iype, Assistant Professor, who warmly welcomed the Principal,resource person and the faculty members. The session was led by Sr. Libi Arakkal, Student Counsellor, PIMS & RC. She provided valuable insights into student safety and highlighted the mandatory guidelines and institutional responsibilities related to student welfare and protection, as prescribed by the Supreme Court, KUHS and UGC. The session helped faculty members understand the importance of ensuring a safe, supportive and student-friendly educational environment. Around 20 faculty members participated in the programme and actively engaged in the session. Prof. Vineetha Jacob appreciated the resource person for her informative and valuable presentation. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Mariyamma, Tutor, who expressed sincere gratitude to the resource person, management and all participants for their contributions towards the successful conduct of the programme. The session was informative and beneficial in enhancing faculty awareness of mandatory student safety guidelines and institutional compliance requirements.
