REPORT ON SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAMME
As a part of Community Health Nursing posting, we fourth year BSc Nursing students conducted a School Health Programme on 20-10-2022 in DBHSS School, Kavumbhagom at 10:00 am. The topic was ‘SAY NO TO DRUGS’. The programme started with a prayer song. Welcome speech was given by Ms.Akhila A of 4th year BSc(N) student. Inaugural address was given by Mr. Rajith R P [Coordinator of the programme]. The session started with a dance performance by Ms. Shilpa and team followed by a skit depicting a family affected by drug addiction. The students also provided health education on Prevention Of Drug Addiction. A quiz was organized and rewards distributed to winners. Everyone liked and enjoyed the programme. A total of 150 students attend the programme. Mrs. Smitha[teacher] and PTA president Mr.Gopidas conveyed their sincere thanks to the entire team for teaching and entertaining the children .The entire session ended at 12:15 pm with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Xavier P Prasad .We extend our sincere thanks to Mrs.Ambili [School Health Nurse] for helping us to organize this programme. We also thank Mrs. Soney ma’am and Mrs. Saniya ma’am for their constant support and guidance. We thank our Principal Mrs. Vineetha Ma’am for giving us the opportunity to conduct this programme and lastly, we thank God almighty for the grant success of the event.
