WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION
The women’s day celebration was organised by NSS, Obstetrics and Gynaecological department, Community Health Nursing, SNA & College Union. The event commenced with a soulful prayer song performed by fifth semester BSc nursing students, setting a harmonious tone for the celebration. Mrs. Ansu Raju (faculty OBG dept) warmly welcomed the guests, participants and attendees, highlighting the significance of international women’s day and the purpose of gathering. Rev. Fr. Mathew Puthenpurayil, director of Pushpagiri College Of Nursing delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing women’s empowerment, gender equality and the role of women in society. A special message was shared Sr. Tessin (faculty Medical-Surgical dept) underscoring the importance of recognizing and celebrating women’s contributions in various fields. Following that awards were distributed by Principal Prof. Mrs. Vineetha Jacob to the winners of various competitions held as a part of women’s day celebrations. A thought provoking debate took place on the topic women empowerment between the teams presenting arguments on gender equality, women’s rights and social progress. A captivating musical drama was performed by 5th semester BSc nursing students portraying the journey of women’s struggles, achievements and aspirations. Sr. Mary Jyothi, vice-principal of Pushpagiri College of Nursing appreciated everyone for their contributions on women’s day celebration. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by sinta – 5th semester BSc nursing student, expressing gratitude to the organizers, speakers, performers, attendees for making this event successful. The women’s day celebration was a resounding , fostering awareness, inspiration and appreciation for women’s contributions. the event concluded with a sense of empowerment and motivations among all the participants.
