GRADUATION, ALUMNI MEET & COLLEGE DAY 2024
On 24/08/2024, Pushpagiri College of Nursing hosted three grant events Graduation Day, Alumini Meet and College day at the college auditorium.
Graduation ceremony of 18th batch of B.Sc. Nursing and 11th batch of M.Sc. Nursing students started on 10.00 am . Sr. Mary Jyothi OSS, Viceprincipal-Administration welcomed everyone to the ceremony. Rev. Dr. Biju Varghese, CEO, Pushpagiri Group of Institutions, gave away the presidential address. Benedictory address was given by Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Koorilos, Metropolitan Arch bishop of Thiruvalla. Prof. Dr. Sona P.S., Registrar, Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council was the guest of honor for the whole function. Rev. Fr. Aby Vadakumthala, Director, Pushpagiri College of Nursing shared a message to the graduates. Annual report of the college was read by Prof. Mrs. Vineetha Jacob, Principal , Pushpagiri College of Nursing. Nightingales Pledge was taken by all the graduates . Pledge was led by Mrs. Suvarna S. Panicker, C.N.O., Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital. Code of ethics was distributed to all the graduates. The college topper for 18th batch of B.Sc. Nursing and 11th batch of M.Sc. Nursing was given to Ms. Honey K.H. and Ms. Sneha Chacko respectively.The best outgoing gradute was awarded to Ms. Christeena Teresa Scaria. Felicitation speech was given by Mr. Sajeev Thomas, PTA President, and Mrs. Jisha Sara Thomas, Alumni Representative. College Magazine, Flos Flor-2023 was published during the function. Vote of thanks was given by Prof. Mrs. Renjini Devi S. Vice Principal and the ceremony concluded by 12pm .
Alumni Meet started on 2.00pm with Welcome speech given by Sr. Tessin SIC . The function was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jose Kallumalickal, Former CEO, Pushpagiri Group of Institutions. The Presidential address was given by Rev. Fr. Aby Vadakumthala, Director, Pushpagiri College of Nursing. New alumni members were welcomed and annual report of Alumni Association was read by Mrs. Rakhi R. Nath, Alumni President. Former Principal of Pushpagiri School Of Nursing, Sr. Lalithya SIC and Sr. Sevana SIC was felicitated for her contribution towards institution’s success and glory. Various awards were distributed to alumni members for their excellence in nursing field and continuing services to Pushpagiri Society. Alumni shared their memories and talent show were arranged as a part of the meet. Alumni Meet concluded at 3.30pm with Vote of thanks by Mrs.Ashamol M.B., Alumni Joint Secretary.
The College Day celebration followed after Alumni meet starting at 4.00pm at PCON auditorium with great enthusiasm and participation from students, and staff. The program began with a series of cultural performances that included traditional dances, music, and skits performed by students from various departments. In addition to the cultural programs, certificates and medals were presented to students who excelled in arts and sports during the year. The day ended on a high note with refreshments served to all attendees.
Overall, the whole day was a grand success, leaving everyone with fond memories and a sense of pride to their institution.
