IGNITE 2K24
IGNITE 2k24, is an initiative of the Research & Innovation Cell of Pushpagiri College of Nursing under the able leadership of Prof. Mrs. Vineetha Jacob, Principal, Pushpagiri College of Nursing. It is a bi-monthly webinar series organized as a part of the celebrations related to completion of 60 years of training nurses at Pushpagiri, with the aim of igniting/ updating the research & innovation skills of health professionals and is co-ordinated by Ms. Mintu Sebastian, Innovation-cell incharge and Sr. Mary Jyothi, the Research cell co-ordinator of the college. The first webinar of the series was scheduled on 13th Feb. 2024 at 8pm on the topic, ‘Review of Literature’ and the resource person was- Dr. Betsy Joseph MDS PHD, MFDS, RCPS(Glasg.), FICD, FFPA, Professor, Saveetha Dental College & Hospitals, SMITS, Chennai. She is also an adjunct faculty and hon. Advisory member, Pushpagiri Research Centre, PMCH and is the Director, Research Kraft of International Research Consulting. The prepared brochure (drafted by Mrs. Roshin Siby, Asst. Professor, PCON & Secretary to Research Cell) was circulated through whatsapp groups and Google meet link was shared with the registered participants. Mrs. Mintu Sebastian, Asst. Professor, PCON took care of all the other arrangements- preparation of the promo video, schedule, designing of the certificates etc. Mr. Marvin & Mr. Sony, System administrators provided all the needed technical support. On 13th Feb. 2024, the event began at 8pm with a silent prayer and welcome address by by Sr. Mary Jyothi, IGNITE 2k24 was inaugurated by Prof.(Emeritus) Mrs. Betty Thomas, Former(1st) Principal of PCON. Dr. Betsy Joseph took a very comprehensive session on the topic, which was well-appreciated by all. Around 45 faculty, PG & PhD students from different parts of the country joined in the event. The session ended by 8.50pm and was followed by a Q & A session. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Roshin Siby, Secretary, Research & Innovation cell. The webinar came to an end by 9.05pm.
