GRADUATION CEREMONY AND COLLEGE DAY
Graduation ceremony was held on 8th of August 2023 at 10am at nursing college auditorium. Program started with a prayer song followed by Bible reading. Mrs. Renjini Devi (Vice Principal Academics, Pushpagiri College of Nursing) welcomed the gathering. The Presidential address was given by Rev. Fr. Jose Kallumallickal (CEO, Pushpagiri Group of Institutions).Father stressed the importance of nursing profession and motivated the graduates.H.G.Most Rev.Dr.Thomas Mar Koorilos (Metropolitan Archbishop of Thiruvalla) inaugurated the ceremony. His Grace spoke about the importance of nursing profession and mentioned that nursing is part and parcel of human life. Prof. Mrs.Vineetha Jacob, Principal, Pushpagiri College of nursing read the college report for the academic year 2022-2023, highlighting the achievements of college of nursing in the past academic year. Mrs Geetha AR (Prestigious National Nightingale Award Winner and Grade I Nursing Officer at Govt. Hospital, Kollam was the chief guest. She gave a wonderful message sharing her life experiences. She exhorted the graduates to constantly update themselves and to be an excellent caring nurse.
Lamp lighting was led by Mrs.Suvarna.S.Panicker (CNO, Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital) and Prof. Mrs.Vineetha Jacob, followed by Graduate’s Oath. College magazine was released by H.G. Most Rev.Dr.Thomas Mar Koorilos .Graduates were awarded with code of ethics and academic proficiency awards by Rev Fr. Jose Kallumallickal and Rev. Fr. Aby Vadakumthala (Director- Institutions).UG and PG best outgoing student award were bagged by Ms.Midhuna Pradeep and Ms.Preeja Ponnappan respectively. In addition to this, Batch wise academic excellence awards and cash prizes for UG and PG best papers in state level scientific paper presentation were distributed during the occasion. Rathish Babu Endowment memorial award for first year topper was given to Ms.Helna Joseph. Mrs. Sheela Cherian (PTA President) felicitated the Novice Nurses. Vote of thanks was given by Prof Sr. Mary Jyothi OSS (Vice Principal Administration, Pushpagiri College of Nursing).
