A Mega Health Camp “ KARUTHAL 2023’ has been Conducted on Gavi in association with Primary Health Centre,Seethathodu ,Pushpagiri College of Nursing Thiruvalla on 17/2/2023.Rev.Fr.Jose Kallumalickal CEO,Pushpagiri group of Institution , Fr.Aby Vadakkuthala ,Director of pushpagiri College of Nursing,DR.Vincent Xaviour Medical Officer, Seethathodu PHC and Mr.Sunil JHI Gavi,Prof. Vineetha Jacob Principal PCON ,Mr. Pramodu Assistant Engineer Forest officer,panchayat Member,Mrs. Gangamma was the digmnatories who were on the dias.Inaguration was done by Rev,Fr. Jose Kallumalickal by highlighting the significant of tribal welfare in a society. During the programme, Dr.Vincent Xaviour has honoured for his health care services to the tribal health care activities at Moozhiyar and Gavi.
26 Students from 4th year B.Sc (N) under the Supervision of Mr. Prof. Vineetha Jacob, Sr.Mayukha, Mr.Renji John,Mrs.Soney Mathew, Sr.Deepa , Mrs.Jisha Mary George joined the Mega health camp by organizing their side for making this venture a greate success.As a part of the camp, they were provided services like BP monitoring,ECG monitoring,Blood sugar ,Hb test,Physical examination,Consultation, medicine supply, etc..was done. Around 300 people benefitted with camp. Apart from that we have distributed clothes and food items to the people.the students presented cultural activities including “ Nadanpattu” and tribal dance, Group health education stressing the prevalent Non-communicable disease by using attractive Av Aids.As an approach on School health programme,the nursing students given health education on specific topics to children including personal hygiene, importance of going to school,anemia control by performing skit. After the Medical Camp, Dr Vincent and Pushpagiri college of nursing provided lunch for the people who attended medical camp, staffs from different areas,students ,and Gavi natives. By 3pm camp was ended .It was a different experiences for the students and the public. By 11pm we reached at pushpagiri.
