BODHYAM 2022
The state NSS cell, Government of Kerala, Vimukthi mission and Excise department jointly organized an antidrug awareness campaign as BODHYAM 2022- LAHARI VIRUDHA QUIZ. The district wise quiz were conducted at every district. The quiz competition of Pathanamthitta was held at Pushpagiri College of Nursing, Thiruvalla on 19/10/2022.There were 91 students who secured first position in institutional level quiz competition were registered in the district quiz. The quiz, BODHYAM 2022 was a grand function in order to make aware the young generation to abduct from drug usage as the cases are rocketed now a days. So the programme initiated to reduce the incidence of drug abuse. Out of 94 registered participants, only 75 participants attended BODHYAM 2022. At 9.00 am the official inaugural ceremony was held at auditorium. The session was started with NSS song followed by the welcome speech of Mrs.Asha Ashok (District coordinator Bodhyam 2022). Rev. Fr.Jose Kallumalickal (CEO -Pushpagiri group of Institutions) presided over the function, Adv.Job Michael, MLA Changanacherry inaugurated the function. The key note address and special address were given by Mr.Jose Pazhaiyadam(Vice chairman, Thiruvalla Municipality) and Dr.C R Ajith Sen (NSS IHRD Coordinator) respectively. The Antidrug pledge and awareness class were given by Mr.G.Prasannan( Excise Inspector, Thiruvalla). The felicitations were given by Mr.Sajith Babu (NSS District Coordinator) and Rev.Fr.Samual Vilayil(Director- Thiruvalla Social Service Society). Mrs.Sunu Alice (NSS Programme Officer, Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences) delivered the words of gratitude to the gatherings. After the official inaugural function, the quiz competition was conducted in the auditorium under the supervision of Mr.Sajith Babu(NSS District Coordinator). A total of 75 students participated in the quiz. The first position bagged by, Aparna P S(KVVS College of Science &Technology Pathanamthitta) second position by Asna Anil, (NSS HSS Thadiyoor) and third position by Anjana Santhosh (GBHSS Pathanamthitta). The programme created motivation among volunteers.
