INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
Yoga is a medicine for the mind, body and soul. It heals and restores, rejuvenates our senses and gives us a renewed sense of well being. Including this in our curriculum is important both for stress relief and body wear and tear processes. The 8 th International yoga day was celebrated on the theme yoga for harmony in the pushpagiri college of nursing on the occasion on June 21,2022. It was a fruitful one conducted in 2 seperate sessions for students and staff by the NSS program officer and associate program officer. The program started with viewing the Pm address live from Mysore palace including live demonstrations. Around 120 students in total participated in the sessions including 15 teaching faculty members. The program was conducted following covid appropriate behaviour and protocol. This program was conducted in collaboration with the NSS UNIT AND DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGICAL NURSING UNDER THE ABLE INSTRUCTIONS OF PROF. MRS RENJINI DEVI.
