    NSS REPORT ON HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMME

    The National Service Scheme unit (NSS/FU/PNT/KUHS/2) of Pushpagiri College of Nursing observed the HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMME in relation to SWASTH BALAK BALIKA SPARDHA as well

    as World Health Day on 07/04/2022 at Maternity OPD, Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital from 10 am to 12 pm. The programme was conducted in collaboration with Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing Department. The programme mainly focus on Theme 02(Test,Treat,and Talk on Anaemia) and Theme 03 (Traditional food for Mother and Child in tribal Area) of Swastha Balak Balika Spardha(SBSS). The chief Guest of the programme was Dr.Sreedevi (HOD of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Medicine, Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital, Thiruvalla) and prof. Renjini Devi S ( HOD of Obstetrical and Gynecological Nursing). Mrs.Asha Ashok, NSS programme officer and Mra.Anila Velayudhan Assistant professor of Pushpagiri College of Nursing were also present during the programme and supported the volunteers. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.Sreedevi and had given a talk on Anaemia, how to test anaemia and what are measures to prevent anaemia. She also added the importance of taking traditional food. Prof. Renjini Devi S( HOD of Obstetrical and Gynecological Nursing) had given message regarding the importance of preventing anemia as well as the importance of traditional foods. The volunteers played a street play on the basis of Theme 02 and 03 of SWASTH BALAK BALIKA SPARDHA in Maternity OPD. There were a group of masses observed the programme. The programme created a great valuable message to the public. This programme created a insight of public health awareness among the volunteers.
