WEB-TALK ON NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY BY NSS
The National Service Scheme unit (NSS/FU/PNT/KUHS/2) of Pushpagiri College of Nursing observed Web-talk in relation to National Girl child Day on 24th January 2022 via Zoom Platform. The programme was conducted by NSS Unit in collaboration with Child Health Department and CHILD HELP LINE Pathanamthitta. The programme helped to make awareness about the importance of celebrating National Girl child day. This programme also helped to better understand the role of Girl child in the society and also the duties of child helpline in current scenario. The chief guest of the programme was Mrs.Susamma Mathew, (Rtd. District Education Officer, Ex.Child Welfare Committee chairperson, Ex.Co-operate Manager of Marthoma Sabha), Mrs.Raji, (Member Child Help Line Pathanamthitta). Ms.Honey K H, NSS volunteer commenced the programme. Sr.Mary Jyothi OSS vice Principal Administration, welcomed the gathering. Mrs.Susamma Mathew had given a vivid idea about theme of celebrating National Girl Child day yearly. Madam had taken Class on “HOW THE WORLD CAN BE MADE BETTER FOR GIRLS”. She also contributed the ideas regarding the importance of girl child in current scenario. Mrs.Raji had given clear picture of CHILD HELP LINE , Pathanathitta and elaborated the responsibilities towards the society. Mrs.Asha Ashok, NSS Programme Officer had given Felicitation. Ms.Jewel Sara, NSS Volunteer, had given Vote of Thanks to the programme. There were around 200 volunteers and 30 teachers participated in the programme. The programme is very informative to the volunteers.
