WORLD SOIL DAY CELEBRATION 2021
The National Service Scheme unit (NSS/FU/PNT/KUHS/2) of Pushpagiri College of Nursing observed World Soil Day Celebration 2021 by making Herbal Garden in the College campus on 07/12/2021. The programme helped to develop the awareness of conserving soil for future generation. It also helped to create the awareness regarding the importance of making soil fertile and making herbal garden. The programme was commenced with planting herbs by Ms.Asha Ashok, Programme Officer and Sr.Mary Jyothi OSS, Vice Principal Administration. A total of 50 volunteers were participated in the Programme. The Volunteers were ploughed and made the soil ready by digged small pits and planted herbs accordingly. The volunteers were planted herbs such as Thulasi, Mukkutti, Aloe-vera, Thumba, Kayyonni, Muyal Cheviyan, Brahmi and so on. The Volunteers were also allotted among themselves for watering the herbs everyday. The programme was helpful for the volunteers to inculcate the skill of farming among themselves.
