BREAST FEEDING WEEK OBSERVANCE; (AUGUST 1 TO 7, 2018)
An awareness programme was conducted in the Thaluk Hospital, Thiruvalla by the NSS volunteers and emphasized on different aspects such as introducing the theme (Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life”.), importance of breastfeeding, its advantages to the baby, mother and society, contents and types of breast milk, initiation of breastfeeding, techniques of breastfeeding, dietary measures to improve breast milk production and also about the factors that may inhibit breastfeeding.
